In Zen Buddhism there is a practice called shikantaza, or just sitting. Undertaken in the same spirit, just shitting is spending your time on the toilet mindfully, engrossed in the moment, fully engaged with the immediate present.
You're not reading, reminiscing, or rehearsing. You're just shitting.
Don't stick to anything. Not even the truth.
Shunryu Suzuki
Pissing is something that no one else can do for you. Only you can piss for yourself.
Soko Morinaga
Life is like shitting: if you try too hard, you'll just end up hurting yourself.
Changing the filter, wiping noses, going to meetings, picking up around the house, washing dishes, checking the dipstick—don't let yourself think these are distracting you from your more serious pursuits.
Such a round of chores is not a set of difficulties we hope to escape from so that we may do our "practice" which will put us on a "path"—it is our path.
Gary Snyder
The way I see it, if you're here for four more years or four more weeks, you're here right now. And I think when you're somewhere, you ought to be there. Because it's not about how long you stay in a place—it's about what you do while you're there and, when you go, is that place any better for you having been there?
